Heyzap Announces Social Games Bar

We’ve talked a lot in the past about the success of Facebook games, and launching to social media sites. One thing that we haven’t talked much about, but deserves a little more front-end time, is the use of portal sites. There are plenty of great portal sites out there that offer the end-consumer a hub of really great games to browse through and try at their leisure. For developers, it’s a platform to get their game in front of a large market of people specifically looking for games.
That’s why when Heyzap recently announced that they were going to be releasing a “social games bar” we thought it might be something to bring to your attention.
Heyzap’s social games bar is a service they are providing where-by any site can incorporate 30,000 games to a site’s users. If someone has a site that they want to jazz up, or offer their visitors the option to have a little fun while they are perusing the information held within, Heyzap can offer them their library. It helps give websites a little added flavour. Plus, it’s a great way to get these web-based games out to even more people. People that might not be going to the portal site directly.
Gamesbeat has a full article about the service which you can read about here, but one thing we wanted to highlight is the diversity of the internet. There are thousands of mediums out there to promote your game, and more coming each and every day. It’s important that you know what’s available to you, how to utilize it, and how to get your games maximum exposure.
